XM referral link and partner code: what it is and what you get
Our XM referral link only tells XM who referred you. You get the same account, the same prices and the same protection as signing up directly, and there is no bonus from us.
Search "XM referral code" and you will find pages promising bonuses, rebates or "exclusive" codes. Here is what a referral link really does, in plain words, so you can decide whether to use one.
What a XM referral link is
Brokers like XM run partner programmes. A partner gets a link or a code; when someone opens an account through it, XM records the partner as the referrer and may pay the partner a fee. That is all our link does. It is XM that pays us, not you: our link adds no charge to your trades. (Some partners elsewhere use marked-up accounts with wider spreads; compare any account you are offered with XM's own published prices.)
What you get, and what you do not
- Same account and prices: the account types, spreads and commission are XM's own published ones (Standard, Ultra Low, Shares (plus a free demo account)). XM's spreads: "0.8 pips (as low as, XM Global)".
- Same protection: your protection depends on the XM company that holds your account, not on the link.
- No bonus from us: we offer no bonus, reward or gift for using our link. Pages that promise one are not XM's offer; check XM's own site before you believe it.
- No code to type: you do not need a partner code to open a XM account. Signing up directly is always an option.
Which XM company our link opens
Which XM company opens your account depends on where you live. If you live in the EU, the UK, Australia, South Africa, Kenya, the UAE or Qatar, our link only goes to a XM entity licensed for your country, and where there is none we show no link. We show no sign-up links at all in countries where promoting offshore brokers is not allowed.

How we are paid, and what it never changes
XM may pay us when someone opens an account through our link. It never changes the TFB Score, a ranking or what we write: the score comes from facts checked on XM's own pages and regulators' registers (how it works). See our affiliate disclosure.
Can I add a partner code to an existing account?
XM does not publish a rule on this on the pages we read, so we do not guess. Ask XM's support if it matters to you. It changes nothing on your prices either way.
Is XM the right broker for you?
XM holds licences from FSC Belize, CySEC, DFSA and 4 more, with a minimum deposit of "$5 (Standard and Ultra Low; XM Global; Shares account $10,000)". Most retail CFD accounts lose money; check XM's own figure on its website before you trade. Read the full XM review first. Before you choose, put XM next to its closest rivals: XM vs Exness, XM vs HFM, XM vs Eightcap. Our country pages list XM for South Africa, Kenya, the UAE, Germany, France.
