Quick verdict
Equiti is a forex and CFD broker. A CFD (contract for difference) lets you trade the rise or fall of a price without owning the asset. Equiti works through several entities. The one we can describe in detail is its UAE entity, Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC, which offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 accounts.
The short answer: Equiti looks like a good choice for a trader in the UAE or nearby who wants a locally licensed broker. The licence is from the UAE Capital Market Authority, number 20200000026, and it covers over-the-counter derivatives contracts and currencies in the spot market. The Classic account lists no minimum deposit and $0 commission. The Standard account starts from $100. The Premier account shows spreads from 0.0 pips. Leverage for the UAE entity is 1:500.
The caution is scope. All of our figures come from the UAE pages, and we hold only one licence. We could not confirm which entity serves other countries in Africa, Asia or Latin America, or what protections apply there. We also could not find a published loss-rate figure for retail accounts on the pages we used, so we cannot quote one.
What we could not confirm: a withdrawal time, a withdrawal fee, swap rates and the stop-out level. The sections below show how to check each one before you deposit.
Is Equiti legit and safe?
"Legit" has two parts. First, is the company real and supervised by a regulator? Second, will you get your money out when you ask? A licence helps with the first part only. We cover the second in the withdrawal section.
A licence belongs to one company, not to a brand name. Equiti is a brand that uses several companies in different places. The company in your client agreement decides which regulator protects you.
CMA (UAE) licence (Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC)
The UAE Capital Market Authority, called the CMA in this review, is the securities regulator of the United Arab Emirates. Equiti states that Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC holds licence number 20200000026 for over-the-counter derivatives contracts and currencies in the spot market. The CMA has a website at www.cma.gov.ae. Look for a public register of licensed firms there and search the company name and number. If you cannot find the entry, ask Equiti support in writing where you can verify it.
That is the only licence we hold on record. It is a real regulatory licence, but it applies to the UAE entity. We could not confirm whether other Equiti entities serve clients in countries such as Nigeria, Kenya, the Philippines or Brazil, or which regulator supervises them. Do not assume the UAE protections follow you to another country.
What to ask Equiti before you deposit: - Which company will hold my account? - Which regulator supervises that company, and what is the licence number? - Where can I look up the licence on the regulator's own website? - Is there a complaint route or compensation scheme for clients in my country?
A simple safety checklist: - Find the company name in the client agreement you accept. - Search that exact name or number on the regulator's own register. - Check that the status is active and the website address matches. - Start small and test a withdrawal early.
Also watch for copycats. Fraudsters sometimes copy the name of a real broker. Always type the website address yourself.
Equiti fees and spreads explained
Brokers earn money from the spread, from a commission, or from both. These costs repeat on every trade, so they matter more than any offer.
The spread is the gap between the buy price and the sell price. If you open and close a trade at once, you lose that gap. On currency pairs it is measured in pips. A pip is usually the fourth decimal place of the price.
A commission is a fixed fee charged per trade, often per lot. A lot is a standard trade size. Accounts with a very small spread often charge commission, so you must add both to see the real cost.
Swap is the overnight fee, or sometimes credit, for holding a trade past the daily rollover time. We do not have an Equiti swap figure, so read the contract specifications for your pair.
What Equiti publishes on its UAE pages: - Classic account: $0 commission, with no minimum deposit. - Premier account: spreads from 0.0 pips.
How should you read this? On the Classic account there is no separate commission, which means the cost is in the spread. We do not have a spread figure for Classic, so we will not guess it. On the Premier account the headline spread is 0.0 pips, which normally means the cost shifts into a commission or another fee. We do not have the commission amount for Premier, so ask.
Practical tips: - Open a demo account and watch the live spread on your pair. The "from" figure is a best case, not an average. - Spreads widen at market open, near news and when markets are thin. - If you hold trades for days, check swap first. - Look for non-trading fees such as inactivity or withdrawal fees. We could not confirm any, so do not assume there are none.
Because these are UAE figures, your own costs could differ. Check the page shown to you in your country.
Account types at Equiti
Equiti's UAE pages describe at least three accounts: Classic, Standard and Premier.
Classic account. This account lists no minimum deposit and $0 commission. It suits a trader who wants a simple structure with the cost built into the spread.
Standard account. The Standard account starts from a $100 minimum deposit. Equiti's page states that the Standard account starts from $100 minimum deposit. We do not have more detail on its spread or commission.
Premier account. This account lists spreads from 0.0 pips. It is aimed at traders who want tight pricing and are comfortable looking at the full cost, including any commission. We do not have its minimum deposit.
How to choose: - If you are new, Classic with a demo account is the easiest way to start. - If you want a bit more from your account and can start with $100, look at Standard. - If you trade often and care about tight pricing, compare Premier on demo.
All three accounts are offered on MT4 and MT5, according to the platforms we confirmed, though we did not match each account to each platform. Check the account page before you register.
Before you fund any account, ask: what is my risk on each trade, how much can I afford to lose, and do I understand the cost of one round trade? If any answer is unclear, stay on demo longer.
Minimum deposit: how much do you need to start?
On the UAE pages, the Classic account has no minimum deposit, and the Standard account starts from $100. We do not have a minimum for the Premier account.
There are two ideas here. The broker's minimum is the smallest amount it accepts. Your practical minimum is the smallest amount that lets you trade safely. The second is usually higher. Even small trades carry costs, and a small account can be wiped out by a normal market move, especially at 1:500 leverage.
"No minimum" sounds friendly, but it can tempt people to deposit a tiny amount and open a large trade. That is how small accounts disappear in hours. Use a small deposit as a test of the platform and of withdrawals, not as a shortcut to profit.
Advice for a new trader: - Deposit only money you can afford to lose completely. - Never use rent, school fees or borrowed money. - Practise on a demo account first. - Trade the smallest size when you go live.
Check whether your payment method has its own minimum or fee. A payment provider can set its own rules. Also remember that your local currency may lose value when converted into dollars, and your bank may charge for international transfers. Add those costs to your budget.
Deposit and withdrawal methods
Equiti lists these deposit methods: credit and debit cards, eWallets such as Neteller and Skrill, crypto wallets, and local and international bank transfer.
For withdrawals it lists bank transfer, cards (back to the source) and eWallets. Equiti's page states that all withdrawn funds will be paid back to the source from where they originated. This is a common anti-money-laundering rule. In practice it means you should deposit with a method that also allows withdrawals and that is in your own name.
How the methods compare: - Cards are easy to use, and the money normally goes back to the same card. - eWallets can be quick, but the wallet may charge its own fees. - Bank transfers suit larger amounts but are often slower, especially across borders. - Crypto wallets can be fast, but prices move and mistakes are hard to reverse.
Check before you deposit: - Does the method work in my country, for both deposit and withdrawal? - Is there a fee from Equiti or from the provider? - Is the account in my own name? - Who converts the currency, and at what rate?
Complete your identity verification early. Upload a clear photo of your ID and proof of address as soon as you open the account, so a withdrawal is not delayed later. We do not state any fee or limit for any method, because the facts we hold do not include one. If a payment page shows a fee, take a screenshot.
How long do Equiti withdrawals take?
We will be direct: Equiti does not publish a withdrawal time on the pages we used, and we have no verified timing from our own tests. So we will not give you a number.
What we know is the rule: withdrawn funds are paid back to the source they came from, and the listed withdrawal methods are bank transfer, cards and eWallets. Each method has its own natural speed. eWallets are usually quickest, cards are in the middle, and bank transfers are often slowest. That is a general pattern, not an Equiti promise.
Common causes of delay at any broker: - Identity checks that are not finished. - A payment method with a name that does not match the account name. - A request to withdraw to a different method than the one used to deposit. - Weekends and bank holidays. Note that in the Gulf region the working week and weekend days can differ from other regions.
The safest way to learn the real time is to test it: 1. Make a small first deposit. 2. Complete identity verification at once. 3. Request a small withdrawal early. 4. Write down when you asked and when the money arrived. 5. Keep screenshots of the request and the confirmation.
If the money arrives in a reasonable time, add more with more confidence. If it does not, stop depositing and write to support. A written message gives you a record. Also read Equiti's withdrawal page for any fee or minimum amount. We did not find one we could confirm.
Trading platforms
Equiti lists two platforms: MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.
MetaTrader 4, or MT4, is the best-known retail forex platform. It is simple, has many indicators and automated tools, and has plenty of tutorials. It is a good first platform for a beginner.
MetaTrader 5, or MT5, is the newer version. It has more timeframes and tools, and it handles more market types. It suits traders who like detailed chart work.
We did not confirm an Equiti-owned platform, web trader or mobile app, so we make no claim about one. MetaTrader has its own phone apps, which you can download from the official app stores. Check Equiti's platforms page for the exact downloads it recommends.
Practical tips: - Practise on a demo account until the buy, sell and close buttons feel natural. - A stop loss is an order that closes a trade at a price you choose, to limit your loss. Learn it before your first live trade. - Download software only from the official site or store. - Check your phone signal before an important trade.
Test the platform on demo for several days. That tells you more than any review.
Leverage and risk
Leverage lets you control a larger position with a smaller amount of your own money. At 1:10, one dollar controls ten dollars of market. Leverage makes both gains and losses bigger.
Equiti states leverage of 1:500 for Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC, the UAE entity. That is high, and regulators in some regions cap retail leverage far lower. The leverage for other Equiti entities may be different, and we could not confirm it. Ask in writing and read the terms.
Why this matters. At 1:500, a small price move against you can remove most of a small account. Higher leverage does not make you more likely to win. It only makes your mistakes faster and bigger. Many experienced traders choose a much lower level than the maximum.
We could not find a retail loss-rate figure for Equiti on the pages we used. Brokers in many regions must publish how many retail accounts lose money, and the figure is usually well above half. The lack of a number in our facts does not mean the risk is smaller. Ask Equiti for its risk warning and read it.
A simple risk plan: - Risk only a small share of your account on any one trade. - Always use a stop loss. - Never add money to a losing trade hoping it will come back. - Keep a trade journal. - Do not trade money you need for daily life.
A stop-out is when the broker automatically closes your trades because your account can no longer support them. We do not state Equiti's stop-out level, because we could not confirm it. Find it in your account terms and write it down.
Who is Equiti best for?
Based on what we could confirm, Equiti can suit these traders.
Traders in the UAE. The UAE entity holds a CMA licence and its pages are written for local clients.
Beginners who want a low entry. The Classic account lists no minimum deposit and $0 commission, and the Standard account starts from $100.
Traders who like tight pricing. The Premier account lists spreads from 0.0 pips.
Traders who like MetaTrader. MT4 and MT5 are both offered.
People who want several ways to fund an account. Cards, Neteller, Skrill, crypto wallets and bank transfers are listed.
Equiti may be less suitable if: - You live outside the UAE and need to know the exact entity and protections for your country. We could not confirm them. - You need a published withdrawal time before you start. Equiti does not give one on the pages we used. - You want a published retail loss figure. We could not find one. - You are tempted by high leverage. The UAE entity states 1:500.
If you are unsure, try a demo account and make sure you understand every cost.
How to open a Equiti account
Opening an account is quick, but take your time at each step.
- Go to the official Equiti website at www.equiti.com. Check the address carefully before you type anything.
- Choose your country or region page, and check that Equiti accepts clients from where you live. If it does not, stop here.
- Enter your name, email and country. Use real details that match your ID.
- Read the client agreement. Write down the exact company name that will hold your account, and check it on the regulator's register.
- Choose your account, for example Classic or Standard, and the platform, MT4 or MT5.
- Verify your identity. Upload a clear photo of your ID and proof of address.
- Fund the account with a small amount through a method in your own name.
- Practise on demo, place one very small live trade, and request a small withdrawal.
Never share your password, and never send money to anyone who promises guaranteed profits.
The fine print
Here are the details people often miss.
Your entity matters. Rules, leverage and protection depend on the company holding your account, not on the Equiti brand.
All of our figures are for the UAE. The minimums, the $0 commission and the 1:500 leverage are for Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC. They may be different in your country.
Only one licence. We hold the CMA licence 20200000026 and no other.
Spreads for Premier only. The 0.0 pips figure belongs to the Premier account, and we do not hold a Classic or Standard spread.
Missing facts. We could not confirm a withdrawal time, a withdrawal fee, a swap figure, the Premier minimum deposit or commission, a stop-out level or a retail loss-rate figure. We do not guess any of them.
Affiliate disclosure. The Forex Bridge may earn a payment if you open an account through some links. That never changes our facts or our verdict.
This review is general information, not financial advice. Facts were checked on 16 October 2026 from Equiti's own pages and may change.
Our final verdict
Equiti earns a positive but careful verdict. The best things are a clear UAE licence from the Capital Market Authority, a Classic account with no minimum deposit and $0 commission, a Standard account from $100, spreads from 0.0 pips on Premier, and both MT4 and MT5.
The cautions are clear. We hold only one licence, for the UAE entity. We could not confirm which entity serves Africa, Asia or Latin America. Equiti does not publish a withdrawal time on the pages we used. Leverage of 1:500 is high. And we could not find a retail loss-rate figure.
Our advice: confirm the exact entity and its licence with the regulator, practise on demo, deposit a small amount you can afford to lose, use low leverage whatever the maximum, and test a withdrawal early. If Equiti passes those steps for you, it is a reasonable broker to consider. If a step feels wrong, walk away. Your money matters more than any broker.
