FBS review 2026

FBS is a low-cost-to-start forex and CFD broker, but it is a higher-risk choice than brokers licensed in Europe, the UK or Australia. FBS Markets Inc. holds licence 000102/31 from the Financial Services Commission of Belize, and the broker publishes a $5 minimum deposit, spreads from 0.7 pips on the Standard account and leverage up to 1:3000. It offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and the FBS app. We could not confirm withdrawal times.

Quick verdict

Is FBS a good broker?

FBS is a forex and CFD broker operated by FBS Markets Inc., licensed by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Belize. A CFD, or contract for difference, lets you speculate on a price going up or down without owning the asset.

The short answer: FBS is easy to start with, but it is a broker you should approach with extra care. The minimum deposit is only $5, spreads start from 0.7 pips on the Standard account, and leverage goes up to 1:3000 on forex. These numbers attract many new traders. They also show where the danger is. Very high leverage and a tiny starting balance are a common recipe for losing an account fast.

On safety, our record shows one regulator for the entity we cite: the FSC of Belize, licence 000102/31, for FBS Markets Inc. That is a real licence on a public register, which is better than no licence at all. But many traders consider Belize a lighter regime than the European Union, the United Kingdom or Australia. The protections you get there may be different, for example in how client money is handled and what happens in a dispute. We did not confirm the details, so we do not make claims about them.

Important: this entity is not a licensed entity for the EU, the UK or Australia in our record. For that reason this review is not meant for residents of those places.

On platforms, FBS offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and the FBS app. For payments, it lists bank transfer, cards, Skrill, Neteller and BitWallet.

What we could not confirm: withdrawal times, commission levels and the share of retail clients who lose money. We explain how to test and check each one. CFDs are complex instruments, and high leverage can wipe out an account quickly. Only trade money you can afford to lose.

Best for: traders starting with a small account.

Is FBS legit and safe?

Two questions sit behind the word "legit". Is the company real and supervised? And will you be able to take your money out? A licence helps with the first. A small withdrawal test helps with the second.

The company behind the FBS brand in our record is FBS Markets Inc. It states that it is licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Belize under number 000102/31. Our source for this is the broker's complaint handling policy document.

What does this mean in simple words? - There is a regulator and a licence number that you can search for. - The regulator is in Belize, not in Europe, the UK or Australia. - Regulators in different countries apply different rules about capital, client money, leverage and compensation if a broker fails.

We cannot tell you what protections apply, because we did not confirm them from the broker's pages. A fair approach is to assume that you have fewer protections than with a European or British regulated broker, and to behave accordingly: deposit small amounts, test withdrawals early, and never keep more money in the account than you need for trading.

How to check the licence yourself: 1. Copy the company name FBS Markets Inc. and the number 000102/31 from the broker's documents. 2. Go to the FSC Belize website by typing the address yourself. 3. Look for a list of licensed or registered firms, and search for the name or number. 4. Check the status and the services the licence allows.

If you cannot find the firm on the register, do not deposit. Ask FBS for a link to the exact register entry, and check it carefully.

General safety habits also help: - Use only the official FBS website and the official app stores. - Never share your password or one-time codes. - Ignore anyone who offers to trade for you or promises guaranteed profits.

FSC (Belize) licence (FBS Markets Inc.)

The Financial Services Commission of Belize is the regulator named in FBS's complaint handling policy for FBS Markets Inc., licence 000102/31. The commission's own website, fsc.gov.bz, is where you look for the public record.

How to check it step by step: 1. Open the FSC Belize website. 2. Find the section that lists the firms it licenses or supervises. 3. Search for FBS Markets Inc. or for 000102/31. 4. Read the status of the licence and the activities it covers.

Because the regulator is outside Europe, treat the licence as a basic sign that the firm exists and is registered, not as the same level of protection as a big-name European regulator. In particular, ask the broker in writing how client money is held and whether any compensation scheme covers your deposit. Save the answer.

The licence applies to FBS Markets Inc. Your own account could be held by another company in the FBS group, depending on where you live. The terms you accept at registration should name the company. Make sure it matches the register.

02

FBS fees and spreads explained

Brokers earn from spreads, commissions and overnight charges. These costs repeat on every trade, so they are more important than any promotion.

The spread is the gap between the price you buy at and the price you sell at. FBS states spreads from 0.7 pips on the Standard account. A pip is the fourth decimal place on most currency pairs, and it is the usual way to count small price moves. The word "from" means the lowest level. Real spreads can be wider, especially when markets are quiet, when they open, or when big news comes out.

Commission is a fixed fee per trade. We did not find a commission figure in the facts we hold for FBS, so we do not quote one. If you use another account type, the cost model may differ. The Standard account is the one that carries the 0.7 pips figure, so look at what other accounts charge before you decide.

Swap is the interest paid or charged for keeping a position open overnight. It depends on the pair and on whether you buy or sell. We did not confirm FBS's swap rates. Look at the contract specifications on the platform, especially if you plan to hold trades for days.

Other costs to look for in the terms: - inactivity fees on idle accounts - fees for deposits or withdrawals on certain methods - conversion costs when your funding currency differs from your account currency

We could not confirm these from the broker's pages. Do not assume they are zero.

A simple way to judge cost: choose the pair you will trade most, open a demo account, and note the real spread at the hours you trade. Add any commission and calculate the total cost of a trade in money. Compare that with other brokers.

Beware of a trap with very high leverage: low spreads and a tiny deposit make trading look cheap, but a single losing trade at high leverage costs far more than the spread. Your biggest cost is a loss from over-sized positions, not the pip.

03

Account types at FBS

Our record for FBS names a Standard account, which is the account that carries the 0.7 pips spread figure. We did not confirm other account types in the facts we hold, so we do not list or describe any.

What usually changes between account types at a broker? - the cost model: spread only, or a tighter spread plus commission - the minimum deposit - the maximum leverage - the trade sizes and the instruments

Open the account pages on the FBS website and compare these four lines before you choose. Because leverage up to 1:3000 is quoted for FBS Markets Inc., check whether the account you pick has a lower cap. A lower cap is safer for a beginner.

How to choose as a new trader: 1. Start with a demo account to learn the platform without risk. 2. Pick the account with the clearest, simplest costs. 3. Choose the account currency that matches your payment method to avoid conversion. 4. Begin with a small deposit and a small trade size.

Some brokers let you change your account type later, but not all do. Ask support before you fund the account.

One more suggestion: be careful of "special" account types or promotions pushed by agents in social media groups. If anyone offers you an account with guaranteed returns, a bonus that locks your money, or help to trade for you, walk away. Only sign up on the official site, and read every condition.

We keep this section short because we prefer to show only what the broker publishes. As we confirm more account details from FBS's own pages, we will add them here.

04

Minimum deposit: how much do you need to start?

FBS says on its account opening page: "Trade foreign currency with just a $5 deposit." So the published minimum deposit is $5.

That is a very low entry. It is convenient if you want to try a real account with almost no money. But think about what $5 means in trading. With a balance this small, you can only open very small positions, and each trade can easily use a large part of your money, especially at high leverage.

A low minimum deposit is not the same as low risk. The most common mistake is to use high leverage on a tiny balance, hoping for a quick profit. This usually ends with a lost account.

A better plan for your first deposit: - Use money you can afford to lose completely. - Decide how much of your balance you will risk on a single trade, and keep it very small. - Use a stop-loss on every trade. It closes a trade at a loss level you choose. - Keep your savings and emergency money out of the trading account.

Check these points before paying: - Whether the $5 minimum applies to the account type and the payment method you want to use. Some methods may have different minimums. We did not confirm method-by-method limits. - Whether your bank, card or e-wallet charges a fee. The broker may be free, but your provider may not be. - Whether your local currency differs from the account currency, and how much the conversion costs.

Finally, test the exit. Deposit a small amount, trade carefully, and request a small withdrawal. This shows you how the system works in both directions before you commit more money.

Remember that a broker is not a bank. Do not keep large sums in a trading account.

05

Deposit and withdrawal methods

FBS lists these ways to deposit on its deposits and withdrawals page: - bank transfer - credit or debit cards - Skrill - Neteller - BitWallet

For withdrawals, the broker's help page lists: the same payment systems used for deposits (cards first), e-wallets, and bank transfer.

The phrase "cards first" matters. It points to a common anti-money-laundering rule: money should go back the way it came in. If you deposit by card, expect the broker to return funds to that card up to the amount you deposited. After that, other methods such as an e-wallet or a bank transfer can be used for the rest.

What this means for you: - Choose a deposit method that you can also use for withdrawals. - Make sure the name on your card, wallet or bank account matches the name on your trading account. - Expect identity checks before your first withdrawal. - Remember that bank transfers can include fees from your bank, and may take longer, especially across borders.

The available methods can depend on your country. The list that counts is the one in your own client area after you register. We could not confirm the fee or the minimum amount for each method, so read the notes for each one.

Practical tips: 1. Complete identity verification early, before you need the money. 2. Keep the confirmation of every deposit and every withdrawal request. 3. Use only your own client area to deposit. Never send money to a person who says they are an agent. 4. Check the currency of each method to avoid extra conversion.

If anything is unclear, ask support in writing and keep the reply. Written proof helps if there is a dispute later.

06

How long do FBS withdrawals take?

We could not confirm a withdrawal processing time from FBS's own pages, and we have no verified timed test of our own for FBS yet. For that reason we do not give a number. A figure you read in a social media group, without a date and a proof, is not evidence.

This matters more for FBS than for some brokers, because the regulator is outside Europe, the UK and Australia. You should treat withdrawal testing as a required step before you add real money.

A withdrawal moves through four stages: 1. You send the request in your client area. 2. The broker checks it, including your identity and payment method. 3. The broker releases the money to your card, wallet or bank. 4. Your card company, wallet or bank credits your account.

The first three stages depend on FBS. The last depends on your provider. That is why the same request can take very different times depending on the method.

Here is a safe test: - Deposit a small amount, for example the minimum. - Finish identity verification immediately. - Request a small withdrawal and note the date and time. - Note the date and time the money arrives, and keep screenshots.

If the money is late, ask support in writing for the reason. Common reasons are mismatched names, unclear documents, a weekend or holiday, a request for a different method than the deposit, or a withdrawal while you still have open trades.

FBS says withdrawals return to the same payment systems used for deposits, cards first. So plan your route from the beginning. If you want to withdraw to a bank account but deposited with a card, you may have to send the deposit amount back to the card first.

We will publish our own timed tests with receipts when we have them. Until then, test it yourself.

07

Trading platforms

FBS offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and the FBS app, according to its pages.

MetaTrader 4, often called MT4, is the most popular retail forex platform. It has charts, many indicators and automated trading programs called Expert Advisors. Most tutorials you find online use MT4.

MetaTrader 5, or MT5, is the newer version. It has more timeframes and more built-in tools. Some indicators made for MT4 do not work on MT5, so check if you rely on them.

The FBS app is the broker's own mobile app. It lets you follow the market and manage your account from your phone. We did not confirm its features, so read the app description and test it with a demo.

How to choose: - If you are new, try MT4 and MT5 on a demo account for a few days. - If you use automated programs, check which platform they support. - If you trade on your phone, test the apps in busy market hours to see how fast they load.

Learn these tools before you trade real money: - Market order: fills at the current price. - Pending order: waits for a price you set. - Stop-loss: closes a trade when your chosen loss is reached. This is the most important safety tool. - Take-profit: closes a trade when it reaches your target.

Safety tips: - Download MetaTrader and the FBS app only from the official website or the official app stores. - Never log in through a link you received by message. - Turn on any extra login protection offered.

Because leverage can be very high at FBS, learn how margin works on your platform. Watch the margin level indicator and keep it healthy. A low margin level means you are close to being closed out.

08

Leverage and risk

Leverage lets you open a bigger position than your balance would allow. FBS states leverage of up to 1:3000 on forex for FBS Markets Inc., Belize. With 1:3000, each unit of your money controls 3000 units of the market.

That number is extreme. Leverage multiplies profit and loss by the same factor. With very high leverage, a tiny price move against you can erase your balance in seconds. Many regulators in Europe, the UK and Australia limit leverage for retail clients exactly to protect them from this.

Words to know: - Margin: the money held from your balance to keep a leveraged trade open. - Margin call: a warning that your free margin is getting low. - Stop-out: the level at which the broker closes your trades automatically because your balance cannot support them.

We did not confirm FBS's margin call or stop-out levels from its pages. Look at them in the trading conditions before you start.

How to use leverage sensibly: 1. Treat the maximum as a limit, not as a target. You do not have to use it. 2. Choose a lower leverage setting if the account lets you. 3. Always use a stop-loss. 4. Risk only a small part of your balance on a single trade. 5. Avoid large positions around major news.

Regulated brokers in many regions must publish the share of retail accounts that lose money. We do not have FBS's own figure in our record, so we do not show one. Look for the risk warning on FBS's website and read the number it gives. Industry-wide, the figure for retail CFD traders is high.

CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money quickly because of leverage. Never trade money you cannot afford to lose, and never borrow money to trade.

09

Who is FBS best for?

FBS suits some traders and not others. Here is a plain guide.

FBS may be a fit if: - You want to start with a very small amount. The published minimum is $5. - You want MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 and a mobile app. - You want a headline spread from 0.7 pips on the Standard account to compare with other brokers. - You understand the risk of very high leverage and will choose a low setting. - You live in a place where FBS Markets Inc. is the entity that serves clients, and you accept a Belize regulator.

FBS may be a poor fit if: - You live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Australia. The entity in our record is not a licensed entity for those places, so this review is not for you. - You want the protections of a top-tier regulator. The licence we cite is from Belize. - You need a documented withdrawal time before registering. We could not confirm one. - You are tempted to use maximum leverage on a small balance.

Readers in Africa, Asia and Latin America often find FBS advertised in social media groups. Be careful. Check the licence on the register yourself, ignore anyone promising profits, and start with a small deposit.

Ask yourself before signing up: 1. Do I know which company holds my money? 2. Can I find that company on the regulator's register? 3. Do I know my cost per trade in money? 4. Have I tested a withdrawal with a small amount?

If any answer is no, find it out first. A broker is only a tool. Risk control and a clear plan matter more than a low minimum deposit.

10

How to open a FBS account

Opening an account is quick. Do it carefully.

  1. Type the FBS website address into your browser yourself. Do not use a link from a message or a social media post.
  2. Click the register button and enter your real name, country and contact details.
  3. Read the terms and write down the exact name of the company that will hold your account.
  4. Choose your platform (MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 or the FBS app) and your account type.
  5. Complete identity verification by uploading your documents, usually a government ID and a proof of address.
  6. Open a demo account and practise for a few days.
  7. Make a small first deposit with a method you can also withdraw to.
  8. Place a small trade with a stop-loss, and request a small withdrawal early to test the process.

Have these ready: - a valid passport or national ID - a recent proof of address, such as a utility bill or bank statement - a card, e-wallet or bank account in your own name

Tips for smooth verification: - Use the same spelling of your name everywhere. - Photograph documents flat, in good light, with all four corners visible. - Make sure the address you type matches the proof.

Safety reminders: keep your password private, never share one-time codes, never allow someone else to trade your account, and avoid any person or group that promises guaranteed profits. Guaranteed profit offers are a classic sign of fraud.

After registration, look at your client area. Check the leverage on your account, the payment methods for your country and the fee notes. Save screenshots with the date.

11

The fine print

Most problems with brokers come from terms nobody reads. Here are the points to look for in FBS's legal documents. We could not confirm each of these from the facts we hold, so please check them yourself before you deposit.

  • Inactivity fee: some brokers charge when an account is idle. Look for the amount and the period.
  • Withdrawal fees and limits: check each method.
  • Currency conversion: if you fund in another currency, a conversion margin may apply.
  • Negative balance protection: this means you cannot lose more than your deposit. Find out whether it applies to your account.
  • Client money: how your deposit is held and whether it is kept apart from company money.
  • Compensation: whether any scheme covers you if the broker fails. Do not assume one exists.
  • Margin and stop-out levels: where your trades are closed.
  • Bonus terms: if a promotion is offered, read every condition, especially anything that locks your withdrawals or requires trading volume before you can take money out. Deposit bonuses are banned for retail clients under European, British and Australian rules, so you should be careful where they are offered.
  • Complaints: how to complain, and which body handles complaints for your entity. FBS's complaint handling policy is the document that names the licence in our record.

One point is specific to FBS: leverage up to 1:3000 is quoted for FBS Markets Inc., Belize. It is a high-risk setting.

Keep your records. Save the terms you accept, screenshots of the trading conditions and the date. If something changes later, you will have proof of what applied when you registered.

If something is unclear, ask support in writing and keep the answer.

12

Our final verdict

FBS is an easy broker to start with, but it is a higher-risk choice. Its strengths are real: a $5 minimum deposit, spreads from 0.7 pips on the Standard account, MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and a mobile app, and a licence from the Financial Services Commission of Belize (000102/31) held by FBS Markets Inc.

The cautions are equally clear. The regulator is outside Europe, the UK and Australia, so you should not expect the same protections. Leverage of up to 1:3000 is extreme. We could not confirm withdrawal times, commission levels or FBS's loss percentage. This review is not for residents of the EU, UK or Australia.

Our advice: 1. Check FBS Markets Inc. on the FSC Belize register yourself. 2. Ask support in writing how client money is held. 3. Practise on a demo account, then deposit a small amount. 4. Choose low leverage and always use a stop-loss. 5. Test a small withdrawal early.

CFDs are risky, and most retail traders lose money. Never trade money you need for living costs. We will update this review as we confirm more facts and publish our own timed withdrawal tests.
