How to open a HFM account
Opening a HFM account takes five steps: register on HFM's site, verify your identity and address, choose an account (Cent, Premium, Pro, Zero, InfinityX (unlimited leverage)), fund it (minimum: No minimum deposit (Premium and Cent accounts; Zero $25, Pro $100, InfinityX $500)) and pick a platform.
The sign-up form takes minutes; the part that matters is choosing the right HFM company and account. Here are the steps with HFM's own published conditions at each one.
1. Check which HFM company will hold your account
HFM holds licences from CySEC, FCA, FSCA, FSA Seychelles, CMA Kenya. The company that opens your account depends on your country of residence, and it decides your leverage and protection. Which HFM company opens your account depends on where you live. If you live in the EU, the UK, Australia, South Africa, Kenya, the UAE or Qatar, our link only goes to a HFM entity licensed for your country, and where there is none we show no link. We show no sign-up links at all in countries where promoting offshore brokers is not allowed.
2. Register and verify your identity
Register on HFM's website or app with your email and phone. Regulated brokers must check your identity and address under anti-money-laundering rules, so HFM will ask for documents in its sign-up flow. Verifying before you deposit avoids delays on your first withdrawal.
3. Choose an account type and currency
HFM lists: Cent, Premium, Pro, Zero, InfinityX (unlimited leverage). Account currencies: USD, EUR (Premium, Pro, Zero); USC (Cent); InfinityX also NGN, JPY, THB, IDR, GHS. Commission: "From $3 per lot (Zero account, $6 round turn per 100,000 units on forex); Premium, Pro, Cent and InfinityX no commission". Accounts differ in how they charge you (spread or commission); see the cost per lot calculator.
4. Make your first deposit
Minimum deposit: No minimum deposit (Premium and Cent accounts; Zero $25, Pro $100, InfinityX $500). Deposit methods HFM lists: Bank transfer, Credit/debit cards, Skrill, Other alternative methods.
5. Pick a platform and start on demo
HFM lists: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, HFM WebTrader, HFM App. Practise there first. HFM publishes that 80.83% of its retail CFD accounts lose money.
