Spread or commission: how each account charges you

Tickmill's spreads: "0.0 pips (Raw); 1.6 pips (Classic)". Its commission: "$3 per lot per side (Raw); $3.5 per lot per side on TradingView Raw; none on Classic". A "from" spread is the lowest the broker shows, not what you pay most of the time. To compare two accounts fairly, add the spread cost and the round-turn commission for one lot; the cost per lot calculator does it in a few seconds.

Which account suits which trader

  • Fewer, longer trades: the spread matters less than swaps and simplicity; a commission-free account keeps the costs in one number.
  • Many short trades: the spread is paid on every trade, so a raw-spread account with commission often costs less per lot. Check with the calculator before you decide.
  • Small first account: start with the account that has the lowest minimum deposit (Tickmill: "$100 (all account types; may vary by base currency)") and a demo first.
  • Swap-free: Tickmill says: "Yes: any Classic or Raw account can be converted to an Islamic (swap-free) account".

Platforms you can use

Tickmill lists: MT4, MT5, TradingView, Tickmill Trader, Tickmill App. Not every account is available on every platform; Tickmill's account pages say which.
