Exness Standard vs Raw Spread account
Exness publishes spreads "From 0.2 pips (Standard; Pro from 0.1 pips; Zero and Raw Spread from 0 pips)" and commission "Raw Spread: up to $3.50 each side per lot (Zero: from $0.05 each side per lot; Standard and Pro: no commission)" (checked on 21 Oct 2026). The Raw Spread account adds a commission to a tighter spread; the Standard account carries its cost in the spread.
"Standard or Raw Spread?" is the first choice you make when you open an Exness account. The answer depends on how often you trade, and it can be worked out with two numbers from Exness's own pages.

How to work out which costs less
One pip on one standard lot of EUR/USD is worth about $10. So:
- Standard: cost per lot = the spread you actually get, in pips, × $10.
- Raw Spread: cost per lot = the raw spread in pips × $10 + the round-turn commission (twice the per-side figure).
If the Standard spread you see is wider than the Raw Spread spread by more than the commission in pips, Raw Spread is cheaper. Use the live spreads in your Exness platform, not the "from" figures, and check with the cost per lot calculator.
Who each account suits
- Standard: traders who place few trades and want one simple cost.
- Raw Spread: traders who place many trades or trade larger sizes, where the tighter spread usually outweighs the commission.
Both accounts sit with the same Exness company for your country, so your protection is the same on either.
